Child Safety
We're passionate about providing a wide range of exceptional and cost-effective enrichment, child-care, and recess programs. These offerings cater to scholars, parents, and schools, spanning before, after, and throughout the summer. We firmly uphold the principle of strategic thinking coupled with precise execution to meet the need of each scholar in our care.
At BRM Academy, child safety is our top priority. We follow strict protocols for drop-off and pick-up of our scholars. Parents must walk up to the front door and check-in/out their scholar with Procare's QR code system, ensuring that only authorized adults are allowed to pick-up/drop-off scholar. Our teachers talk directly to parents and confirm their identity before dismissing the scholar from the program. We understand the importance of safety, and we take every measure possible to give you peace of mind when leaving your child in our care. If a staff member is unfamiliar with any person picking up a child, the staff member will ask to see a picture identification before the child is released and upon Directors approval and notice from authorized adult.
OUR STAFF

Our owner, Dr. Shawn Floyd, is a retired teacher with more than 15 years of experience in early childhood learning. Dr. Floyd is a parent to three children and a proud grandparent to four grandchildren. Notably, two of her grandchildren have benefited from their experience at BRM Academy, entering the classroom with confidence and a strong foundation in learning. This success can be attributed to the remarkable curriculum at BRM Academy, which is thoughtfully aligned with the early childhood curriculum of the local school district. Prior to her move from the school district to the daycare, she had earned the title of Teacher of the Year, showcasing her exceptional teaching abilities. Her extensive experience and the proven success she achieved in the classroom greatly contribute to the enriching learning environment and the engaging activities implemented at BRM Academy.
Our teachers are experienced and qualified early childhood educators who are committed to providing the best possible care and education for each child. They receive ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education.
